Giant clam!!

This year I wanted to get a giant clam. When we were here last year, Jared got a beauty and I wanted one just like it.

We had been out to the island a few times and the tides were not right to get into the bay where the giant clams lived.

On our last island visit, I was desperate to get one. Jared said “ don’t worry we will get you one”.

Jared went out for a spear, when he started signaling. I knew he had found one. Brett took the boat out, Jared tied rope around the clam and we hoisted it in. It was a ripper, and to top it off Jared had found one with both halves 🤗🤗.

We took it back and I couldn’t wait to clean it up. It went from a slimy green, coral covered mess to a nice clean white.

I can’t wait to get it on display when I get back home.Weiterlesen
