  • Mim’s 18th Birthday

    November 13, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 23 °C

A special visit home for Mim’s 18th birthday, at the Beachcomber.

I wanted to make the most out my visit, so I flew in on Friday from Ballina. Kat and the kids picked me up, Bryron pretend he was asleep and wouldn’t talk to me, it didn’t take Lyla long to warm up to me, although, she was a bit annoyed I didn’t bring Brax and Lachie with me.

Bree pampered me with a pedicure and facial.

Lacey was kind enough to share her room and bed with me for the weekend.

Then we spent the weekend, catching up, running errands for the party and laughing. It was so good to see everyone. In true girls catch up style, it rained! But we had a ball anyway.

The time went to quick and after 3 days, it was time to fly back to the van.

  • Brax’s 11th Birthday

    November 19, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 15 °C

In usual Braxy form, he was awake bright and early unable to sleep due to being excited for his birthday.

Another birthday celebration in the caravan.

Brax had chosen to be in Crescent Head for his birthday, but what he didn’t know was that there was a few extra people going to be here to make the week a bit more special 🤗🤗.

Presents, waffles, pinjata, beach, boogie boarding, beach cricket, huge lunch of special food Brax chose, cake, bike riding, chicken Kiev dinner, ice cream, fire, crabbing, fireworks, sparklers and then Bed!

    What a day.

  • Crescent Head

    November 25, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

A fun filled 10 nights in Crescent Head, with surprise visits for the boys from their best mates Ellie and Chloe and Nan, pop, Lyla and Byron!

I don’t think they could believe their eyes when they saw pop’s car or when they saw their fav people in the back seat.

You wouldn’t even know they had been apart for nearly a year, Byron went straight to Brax and Lyla to Lachie and off they went playing the week away.

  • Last days - Boomerang

    November 29, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

Chillin, sunbaking, snorkelling, boogie boarding, surfing, game boying, reminiscing and relaxing our last two days away before we come back home to the rat race (kind of 😂😂).

  • Sleep over with Aunty Kat

    December 14, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

Aunty Kat was not to keen on getting in the Santa photo again this year, so Brax and Lachie were more than happy to go along and jump in with Byron and Lyla.

After a free photo shoot with Santa at Gosford Leagues Club, Aunty Kat shouted the kids some delicious Kayla’s cupcakes.

I called to see if they were ready to be picked up and was yelled at by the boys, as they were heading back to make a ginger bread house.

When I finally arrived, they asked if they could stay the night. I gave Kat a small break before dropping them back over the night.

    They had a blast.

  • Sharing is caring

    December 20, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 14 °C

We decided that this year we would come home for Christmas and spend some time with family.
Then, slowly one by one starting with Gary (just saying 😂😂) we all started to get COVID.
Eventually everyone, in the house, in Shaun and Kat’s house and Mel and Joel’s house were all covid positive! Taj was the only one who dogged the covid bullet.
So after 2 years of traveling, we got to experience a covid lockdown, right over Christmas 😔.
Lucky we hung around long enough to celebrate once everyone was well again!

  • Christmas Day

    December 25, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 18 °C

Christmas was a bit quieter this year, due to everyone having covid 😔, but that didn’t stop the kids from waking up multiple times in the night, sneaking out to see if Santa had been and eventually getting us all up at 5am to open presents.Read more

  • Uncle Dan’s Happy Place

    December 28, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 24 °C

We were so ready to stretch our legs after almost two week’s of Covid. Shaun and I spent two hot long days rebuilding the Hulk trailer, so it only seemed fare that we spend two hot days soaking up the sun in the boat and where better to do it than Uncle Dans happy place on the Myall Lakes.
We threw the camping gear in the boat and headed up to find uncle Dan and Jodi. When we arrived the weather was hot and the water very warm. The beautiful sandy bay was protected from the wind so the days were spent swimming, skiing and feeling free again. We camped in the reeds and watched the stars through the top of the tent as we fell asleep, it was great!
We stayed at arms length from the mother ship airing on the side of caution, but it was so great to catch up with Dan, Jodi, Leigh, Tara, and Jackson.
