Borovets Ski Resort, Bulgaria

Accidental admin week. We arrived at the Ski resort to discover that the information I was relying on was wrong about the beginning of the ski season. The resort is practically deserted with only 2 restaurants open and some workers preparing for the beginning of the season. Which is in 2 weeks’ time! 🤦‍♂️

So admin week it is with no distractions. The occasional outdoor adventure to save going crazy.

After travelling now for over five months you certainly value time in one place. The first 4 days were perfect admin days where we finally found a groove and made some good progress. Jessie has been making big headways into the development of her website and I finally got to a point in my journal where I could start contributing travel guide articles! This is the exact reason we both needed to get out of Sydney. None of this would have ever happened had we kept doing this in our “spare time” around full-time jobs.

Plus it finally snowed on the 3rd day! 😂 Thankfully the weather was cold enough for the resort to be running the snow guns each night on the front slopes. By Friday we were well ready for an outdoor adventure and frothing to try get some time on a board.Read more
