Napier

After a long drive through pine Forrests , long open roads before climbing up & down twisty mountain roads & lots of road repairs due to the recent cyclone, we came to Napier.. had bad vibes about this but is actually very beautiful. Home of art deco buildings having had to be rebuilt in the 1930’s following an earthquake in the 1920’s that destroyed the town. Also part of the Hawkes Bay wine region .. the county hotel is lovely if somewhat ex of a bygone age. We have an enormous suite with wrap around balcony , and enjoying a glass of wine on the sunshine .Leer más
