Really enjoyed Napier, had a great vibe and wished we could have stayed longer, great dinner at the Central Fire Station Bistro, and wondered back looking at the art deco buildings. Great breakfast at the cafe opposite the hotel and a quick drive around bluff point looking across the Hawkes Bay. Then 4 hr journey going south to Wellington, major state roads only 1 carriageway, through towns & road works , no bypasses here!
