Great ocean drive

Wow what a day, early start to meet our minibus tour to the 12 Apostles along the Great ocean Road, built by 3000 returning 1st WW1 soldiers. Walked down Gibsons steps to the beach, hard walk back, few more stops for great views then to the 12 apostles , only 6 now.. had a little moment here as it was such an incredible sight & 1 I had held in my head since 1971 as a small child being given a book on Australia by my grt uncle visiting from Oz. Saw wild Koalas up in the eucalyptus trees, Jimmy Chang our driver & guide was great, but drove pretty fast .. and more great views along the Great Ocean Road.. ,long day finished off with a drink in one of the roof top bars in Melbourne.. lovely vibe but little bit too young for us oldies lol..Read more
