To Port Macquarie

Up & checked out of our hotel,really enjoyed our days in Sydney & the hotel. Loaded the car and set off to Heatherbrae for a pie for lunch, which was on route to Port Macquarie. The road took us over the Sydney bridge which was unexpected but great to drive over. Traffic was busy on the main road took us to Heatherbrae where we stopped off & queued for a pie. These had been recommended & they were good. Jack then took over the driving & went on a detour to port Nelson, which had some lovely bays, driving up to the lighthouse, which had some fantastic views. Was originally going to be the main port of Australia but Singapore port became the main port instead . We then headed back past 1 mile beach and its sand dunes with camel rides to port Macquarie. Again lovely little town & coast line .
Off to the koala sanctuary tomorrow 1st thing then on to Byron Bay which will be interesting.Read more
