We were due to be picked up at 8:20 but the taxi did not arrived until gone 9. Unfortunately the driver started out late due to a flat battery so got caught in the rush hour traffic.

Unfortunately we have been further delayed at Oxford Services but only one more pickup so hopefully that will go a bit more smoothly.

Long day and we are ready for a good night's sleep. Breakfast at 6:30 am and back on the road at 7:30 am tomorrow 😴

We finally arrived at our hotel at 10:30 pm and we're ushered into our evening meal, which was welcome after our long coach journey which was 15 hours in total.

Riva del Garda

Today we visited Rival del Garda, where we took a boat trip across Lake Garda to Limone.

It started off a little cloudy on our boat trip to Limone but the sun soon broke through the clouds to give us a warm sunny day.

Visit to Lazise

Today we were visiting various towns around Lake Garda. Our first stop was the town of Lazise, the Lazise comes from the Latin word 'Lacus' which means Village on the Lake'.
Visit to Sirmione, including boat trip

Sirmione is lovely but very busy. By walking along the front we did manage to avoid most of the crowds.
The boat trip took us out into the lake and showed us the town from a different angle.
Visit to Garda

We only had time for a Gelato in Garda but there were some nice views across the Lake from the café's on the front.

It's a early start, breakfast At 7 am on the road by 7:45 am, with a 14 hour drive to the hotel in Belgium ahead of us!

Due to traffic jams we have been on the road for over 16 hours! We are both shattered and we still need to do it all again tomorrow, hopefully after a few hours sleep.

We are just waiting for the 3:20 pm Ferry and then we are off to Swindon to meet a mini bus which will take us onto Worcester.
