    Miradoura da graca

    June 9, 2018 in Portugal ⋅ ⛅ 18 °C

This is at the lookout (miradoura ) of graca (grace) next to the Igreja graca (church of grace).

Dinner at the booth in front of the church. More Sardines! and Pork Belly on a bun....Colin's favourite, and a Sangria for me and Cerveja (beer) for colin. You can wander the streets with the sangria and cerveja/

That is loquat in fruit. I have a very small one in the green house, but there are a couple in Vancouver. Borderline hardy in our climate.

Desert was a patisserie. We had one of their 'pastel de bata' - a custard tart, very yummy and a puff pastry with cream sandwich also very yummy. all with espresso. You just eat the desert as you stand at the counter. apparently the portuguese are known for their sweet tooth and we saw many many patisserie's in all the neighbourhoods we wandered through. Good for us because we love sweets!! No fat people here though and we think it is because of all the hills, you can eat those sweets if you are climbing all those hills.......those hills will probably keep out the American Tourist too.
