    Packing my stuff

    Last dinner all together at Dough Pizza and then playing some games in 933. Especially, trying to find out how the mouse trap works.😂 It was amazing evening and now it is time to say goodbye. 😭 I am sure that I will see these people again at any time in my life.Weiterlesen

    It's time to say goodbye to a wonderful place, amazing people, and an unforgettable time. It was harder than I could have ever imagined, but it is time to start something new, a new adventure.

    The flight was perfectly calm, with no turbulences instead of these in my head.🫣 Back on the earth, I grabbed my luggage and took the train to the city. During this ride, I met an approx. 70 years old man who has his roots in Switzerland. He lives at the Gold Coast and invited me to visit him, but I think I won't take the bait because he is a bit strange.

    Arrived in the city, I checked in to Hostel Selina and walked through the city, searching for an open shop where I could buy my dinner. Most of the shops and restaurants were already shut down, but I managed to find a little 24/7 shop.    Weiterlesen

    In the morning, I did a tour through Roma Street Parkland with a volunteer guide and two elderly women. It was really interesting because by myself, I would have never seen all the thoughts that were made to construct this park.

    After extending my stay, I went down to South Bank, where I ate some lunch and planned some things. With the ferry, I cruised all the way down to Sydney Street. It was wonderful to see the city from the river, and I met a Dutch couple which was very nice. I hopped off after the story bridge and went to the City Botanical Gardens, where I did the daily push-ups.

    I cooked some dinner in the hostel and then joined the music bingo in the restaurant of the hostel. I met some nice people there with whom I went to an Irish Pub later. 😁    Weiterlesen

    I woke up early to go to the Gold Coast. At the hostel I could store my luggage and eat some breakfast for free. While I was waiting for my toast to be ready, a German girl started talking to me and invited me to join her to the Skydeck where we had a breathtaking view over Surfers Paradise.

    After this, we already needed to say goodbye and I went back to the hostel to lend out a surfboard and to go to the sea. I spent the rest of the day at the beach and then went back for the free hot dog night at the hostel where I met some lovely people from around the world.    Weiterlesen

    I met Kim there, a Dutch girl

    Tree top walk was stunning

    Feeding the colourful little parrots was a big challenge for me, but I managed it and it was a thrilling experience. Just breath and smile :)

    Beautiful day in Surfers Paradise
    Yoga at Budds Beach
    Surfing with some others from the Hostel
    Travelling down to Byron Bay where, surprisingly, Kim was waiting at the bus station (actually because she accompanied her friend who took the bus down to Sydney). However, we celebrated her birthday in the rooftop bar at Surfers House Hostel and then went to Casa Luna which was a bar with a small dancefloor. Sadly, the music was not good and we went to bed at 12pm.Weiterlesen

    No sooner have I arrived at the hostel when Lucie was already waiting for me to take me down to the beach. We went into the clear blue calm water for a swim and enjoyed the sun down there until her boyfriend arrived. With him we went to the Little Cove where we met Chiara and all together we drove to the Mount Tinbeerwah Lookout to watch the sunset. It was unbelieveable.Weiterlesen

    Noosa National Park
    I walked along the Coastal Walk to Hell's Gates and then back through the woods. It was wonderful to feel the sand and stones under my feet while walking through a beautiful landscape and listening to the birds and the water splashing against the coast. In the afternoon I met Chiara again and we played some volleyball with her classmates and enjoyed a beautiful sunset.Weiterlesen

    Chilling and swimming at Sunshine Beach
    Coastal Walk back to the Little Cove
    On the way there, I surprisingly met the Dutch guy and the English girl that I had met in Brisbane
    I walked with them the last part where we spot a koala hanging around in a tree and enjoying the last sun rays. It was beautiful, and it was my first time that I saw a koala in wildlife.
    In the evening, I firstly chilled with the German people that I had met yesterday and played 21 with them. Then Lucy came, and we went to KB's, which is actually part of the hostel. We had a good time dancing and enjoying our time together. When she left, I chilled again with the Germans. After KB's closed at midnight, we tried to find another place to go, but we weren't successful and finally returned to bed.    Weiterlesen

    Lazy day
    I chilled down at the Little Cove and swam a bit in the beautiful, calm, clear blue sea. Around 2 p.m., I bought a frozen yogurt and then headed back to the hostel where I grabbed my luggage and then went to the coach station to catch the bus to Rainbowbeach.
    I arrived there in the evening and warmed my food up and then sat a table with 3 other girls of my age. We played president and talked a lot.    Weiterlesen

    First day on Fraser Island
    Got stuck with the car 5m after the ferry and needed to push the car back out. From there on, everything went well.
    The way to Lake McKenzie was really bumpy, and it felt like being on a roller-coaster, but the lake was unbelievably nice. The water was turquoise blue and really clear. The only scarry thing in there were some black ducks, which dived under water and then suddenly popped up somewhere out of nowhere.
    The way back to the beach through the rainforest was just as beautiful, and the sunset and the humpback whales in the ocean created a magical atmosphere.
    The rest of the day we spent at the campsite with eating dinner, playing some games and grilling marshmallows over the campfire.    Weiterlesen

    Lazy Sunday in Agnes Water
    I chilled the whole day at the hostel and organised some things.
    In the evening, I watched the sunset with more or less the same people as yesterday and then I took the greyhound bus to Rockhampton, where I met Sophie again. Rockhampton is a strange city, so the bus driver wanted to make sure that we would take an Uber or taxi as long he was still there. The hostel was the worst so far. The dorm was fine, but everything smelled like we were on a chicken farm and it was dirty.Weiterlesen

    First day of our Roadtrip to Emerald and Rubyvale
    We arrived at Emerald in the early afternoon and checked in to our bungalow cabin. Then we slendered through the town but there is not much interesting to see so we returned to the cabin. I decided to go running for a while, which was really nice.
    We had fish and chips for dinner and listened to the "wonderful" live entertainment on our campsite, which was mostly occupied by seniors.    Weiterlesen
