    Canadian thanksgiving ❤️

    October 10, 2022 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 18 °C

Another english post, again somone speaking english might read this one. So the funniest coincidence just happened to us. Silvan and I wanted to take a strawl through the campground and we wondered how we could split the canadian dollars we had on us to pay the parking fee and if we should take a really expensive campground when we are back in Vancouver to be closer to return our RV the next day, that would have been the same day the Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving. And so I said "to be honest I would just really love to spend Thanksgiving with a canadian family instead of some fancy RV site" and Silvan agreed, saying that he would be happy to do so and to have a beer now. A couple of minutes later we bumped into Elaine who told us about her amazing travels, told us that we can split our parking fee for to RVs, giving us beer and inviting us to stay with her family for Thanksgiving, giving us a place to park the RV too. So there we were having an awesome time with Elaine, her son Travis, Elaines sister Kathy and her husband Stu aswell as their daughter Stacy and Anne, a close family friend. And when they found out my birthday was one week earlier they improvised and had a birthday cake that was planned for Anne (who was sitting beside me) to share the cake with me. That was so so nice, but everything was really! We actually felt like a part of the family. Thank you so so much for taking us in like family! You are always welcome to visit us and we might just come back to see you again, we surely would love to 😊Read more
