Walves Bay, Namibia. Day 1.

We did not have anything booked for today, so we shared a taxi to a resort town Swakopmund about 30 min away from the port. We passed beautiful neighborhood along the water, stopped to see pink flamingos and sand dunes.
The town acceded our expectations. Very clean, beautiful architecture, feels very safe.
We walked around the town, stopping at the art galleries, finally we found a German restaurant that looked good to us.
I asked what is their special dish and the waitress named a dish. I thought it is a sausage with mashed potatoes, but when she delivered….that was a huge surprise!
That was the leg of some kind of animal.
The meet was delicious, but I could only finish 1/5 of it.
After lunch, we decided to find a Barber shop for Boris. It did not take us long and he got a haircut for $5 plus $2 tip.
More walking and enjoying the town and at 4:30pm we came back to the car with a driver and he took us back to the ship.
It was a very good day in a beautiful place with nice cool weather.Leer más
