Cape Town, SA. Day 2

We got up at 6:00am, had a quick breakfast and were on our way out at 7:15am. Still did not fill better, but there was an exiting tour ahead of us.
At 7:30am we met with our guide, a delightful man.
Our first stop was a colourful neighbourhood Bo-Kaap. It’s one of the oldest and most historic residential areas in Cape Town.
We continued South, passing beautiful areas and stopping to take pictures. Our guide, Danny, was telling us about everything we passed … History past and present.
We passed some of the most expensive neighbourhoods in South Africa. Beautiful houses with amazing sea views.
We stopped at the Boulder beach to see African penguins.

African Penguins used to be known as jackass penguins because of their distinctive braying, and they’re the only penguins found on the continent. Colonies can be found from southern Namibia all the way around the South African coast to Port Elizabeth, but few places offer as remarkable a viewing point as Boulders Beach.

We continue to Simon town. Danny made reservation for us for lunch at seafood restaurant. Everyone in our group enjoyed food, except me. By now I really did not feel myself.
We continue to the Cape of Good Hope.

A common misconception is that the Cape of Good Hope is the southern tip of Africa, based on the misbelief that the Cape was the dividing point between the Atlantic and Indian oceans. In fact, the southernmost point of Africa is Cape Agulhas about 150 kilometres to the east-southeast.

We also took a cable car to visit a lighthouse and saw few baboons.

By the time we came back on the ship at almost 6:30pm, I was in a pretty bad shape. I had a fever and was extremely tired.
Boris went to eat, but I stayed in cabin and went right to bed.

Hope to feel better tomorrow as we have a plan to visit Table Top Mountain.Read more
