Day 6: Cusco city experience

Woke up at hotel Augusto Cusco and had breakfast at the hotel. Amazingly none of us had any symptoms of altitude sickness. We had a city tour at 2 pm with our tour operator which left the morning open. So, we talked to the front desk and she arranged a taxi that would take us to the following archeological sites in addition to the statue of Christ in white high on top overlooking the whole town.

2. Qenga
3. Puca Picard
4.Tambomachay

After this impromptu tour, we went to Green Point, a Vegan restaurant and it was all set in a natural garden. The food, ambience and overall experience was heavenly. However we were running late and had to rush somewhat to meet our tour operating the square.
The tour operator took us to a magnificent Basilica Catedral and Qorikancha, a Santo Domingo convent.
We got back to the hotel after and chilled with some cocktails and skipped dinner altogether.Leggi altro
