    Dinosaur Provincial Park

    September 30, 2017 in Canada ⋅ ☀️ 18 °C

The reason we headed down onto the prairies was to follow the path of the dinosaurs. Today we visited the Dinosaur Provincial Park. It’s all about The Badlands, Hoodoos and Coulees. The Dinosaur Provincial Park is still a live dig with a small area open to visitors with a small caravan park and a museum.
The Badlands are a very barren area with the exception of the Red Deer river and the cottonwoods growing along its verge. Not the same beauty as the Rockies but stunning just the same.
We spotted moose scat on the cottonwood trail by the Red Deer River but the animal itself remains elusive.
