Victoria Peak and tram ride

After a massive “grasse matinée,” we managed to stumble out of bed and walk to the top of Victoria Peak - just in time for sunset. Some lovely views along the way and really choice whinging by Meg: “I’m hot as a hot pig! And not just any hot pig but one that is cooking on a giant fire and about to turn black!” As it was only about 18 degrees out today, can’t wait to see how well she takes to Bali!

Both kids really outdid themselves with the high quality of whinging going up the hill - the many mountain hikes planned for this trip are starting to look like brilliant ideas! Thankfully, a Tesla was spotted at the only house at the top of the mountain - so the trek suddenly became worthwhile.

The tram ride down was actually very well timed, just after the sun set and the skyline started to light up. It was amazing just how steep the descent was, as evidenced by the crazy angle between the neighbouring apartment buildings and the tram itself.Read more
