    Views, gardens, and escalators

    January 31, 2019 in Hong Kong ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

On the way up to and back from Victoria Peak, we checked out the views of Kowloon and North Point from the 30th floor of our little hotel, visited the monkeys at the HK botanical gardens, and wandered around in the mid-levels escalator world around Queen’s Road Central. Plenty of joking around at Insta-Mommy's expense aside - it was great to see Davy pulling out his phone and capturing a few shots (or a hundred!) of things he found interesting.

It's too bad we have so little time to wander around the city this time, as we are only scratching the surface of quirky neighbourhoods, markets and little parkette spaces to visit. The kids are also just starting to get the hang of exploring - not necessarily having a target big-ticket event or destination all the time, but taking a moment to be curious about and to experience the little moments that life is made up of. Something we'll work on improvising into upcoming tour segments no doubt!
