Supermonkeys at Xintiandi

Good thing we didn't come out to Xintiandi to look for a down midlayer for Poppy the other night, as we found ourselves this afternoon in a mall that purported to be Xintiandi Style and while it did contain a number of shops that had the expected level of gaudy bling, unfortunately they held little appeal for us. As usual, Chinese people seem to eat a lot when they go out, and the mall was full of trendy little diners and cafés.

The kids did insist on a couple of shots - Davy by the SuperMonkey Fitness Club, Meg by HiPanda accessories (a bit of an odd gimmick that would not particularly entice me to enter the shop), Meg again sat in the mini-chairs by the mall entrance, and Davy again by an old apartment room, where the door has been left open to reveal a super narrow staircase to the tiny living space above.
