Circle Tram ride to Michelin roast pork

    May 26, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 13 °C

Two targets this afternoon: First, to ride the Melbourne City Circle tram (Line 35) around the free zone and get a quick overview of the entire CBD. We were lucky to catch one of the old fashioned trams that are still running on this line. As it approached, the kids were already impressed by the antique green style of the tram's exterior. Once inside, we found the wood interior fittings ware also beautifully kept.

Following the scenic ride, we arrived at our second destination - Hawker Chan, a Michelin-starred Singaporean street food joint in Melbourne's Chinatown district. It is a no frills sort of place, quite famous for its HK-style roast pork and soya sauca chicken: You get a number when you place/ pay for your order, have a seat and then wait to be called when the food is ready for pick-up. Our two little roast pork connoisseurs found Hawker Chan's offering to be tasty and juicy - will no doubt be back soon.
