Just finished a private walking tour through Galway's city center. Our guide, Gary, was so personable and such a great historian!! He even guided us to a less-crowded pub down a side street and a Claddaugh jewelry store with a little history museum in the back. Gorgeous weather today and streets filled with tourists, shoppers, and locals on the last weekend of the Galway Races. A market today in 300-year old Eyre Square features food trucks, vendors/artisans of locally made goods, and great coffee. We aren't done yet!
