Athens, Greece

Yesterday we arrived in Athens and we got on the train and got to our hotel. It was past midnight when we went to sleep.

Athens is named after the goddess Athena. Her and Poseidon both wanted to be the patron of the city. They both gave a gift and the residents would decide who's was better. Poseidon gave them the first horses and Athena gave them the first olive tree. The residents were more interested in making money and the landscape was really good for growing olives and it would provide wood and food, so they chose Athena.

When we woke up we took the metro to the Acropolis. We couldn't really see much of it because buildings and trees were in the way.

We had lunch. I had a Greek salad, Papa had some dolmades rolls, and Mama had calamari. On my Greek Salad there was a huge chunk of feta cheese.

Mama and I had a siesta and Papa explored Athens a bit more. Neither Mama or I could go to sleep but we tried really hard.

After we gave up on sleeping, we did another community day in pokemon go. It was all about a pokemon called Goomy. I got a lot of shinies, Papa got three and Mama got two.

We then went to the Acropolis again to see the sunset behind the Parthenon It was very beautiful.

On the way back we saw some cool baths made by the ancient Greeks.
