The Baixa- Chiado, Lisboa

I love this city, especially the massive squares, the narrow lanes, the trams, the street life and the friendliness. I love the elegance of the art and the traditional crafts. The RC church seems all pervasive. Once a colonial power there are positive links with the former colonies. I had great chats with Solange from Burel wool processors and fashion house and Carolina whose family run a renowned guitar shop.
