ដោយសារតែតៃកុងឡានដែលត្រូវមកទទួលពួកយើងពីច្រកអូរស្មាច់/ឆងចម មិនបានបង្ហាញខ្លួនដូចដែលបានសន្យាថានឹងជួបនៅម៉ោង១០ព្រឹក និងមិនលើកទូរស័ព្ទទាល់តែសោះ យើងត្រូវចំនាយពេលរង់ចាំ 2 ម៉ោង។ យើងមិនហ៊ានទៅជិះឡានតាក់ស៊ីផ្សេងទៀត ព្រោះខ្លាចគាត់មកជ្រួសគ្នា។ នៅទីបញ្ចប់ យើងបានសម្រេចចិត្តទៅជាមួយតាក់ស៊ីក្នុងស្រុកទៅកាន់សុរិន្ទ បន្ទាប់មកទើបស្វែងរកមធ្យោបាយធ្វើដំណើរផ្សេងទៀតទៅកាន់គោលដៅចុងក្រោយរបស់យើង។ ពេល​យើង​ទៅ​ដល់​ចំណត​ឡានក្រុង​សុរិន្ទ គាត់​នៅ​ទីនោះ​ប្រាប់​យើង​ថា​គាត់​គេងជ្រុលម៉ោង។ គាត់​ជា​មិត្ត​ភក្តិ​របស់​សមាជិក​ធ្វើ​ដំណើរ​ម្នាក់​ ដូច្នេះ​យើងមានតែព្រមទៅ​ជាមួយ​គាត់​ដដែល។ ដល់​ពេល​យើង​ទៅ​ដល់​ខេត្តឧប៊ុន ហើយ​ចូលទៅក្នុង​ភូមិ ​វាយប់បាត់ទៅ​ណាស់ ហើយ​គ្មាន​ភោជនីយដ្ឋាន​សម្រាប់ណានៅបើក​ទេ។ យើងបានឈប់នៅហាងចាប់ហួយមួយដែលមានលក់មីកញ្ចប់ និងអាហារសម្រន់ផ្សេងទៀត ប៉ុន្តែសំណាងល្អបន្ទាប់ពីគាត់និយាយជាមួយម្ចាស់ហាងរួច ពួកគេបានទូរស័ព្ទទៅភោជនីយដ្ឋានមួយក្បែរនោះជួយសុំឲ្យគេនៅបើកបន្តចាំយើងទៅហូប។ ម្ចាស់ហាងទាំងប្តីប្រពន្ធ​គួរ​ឱ្យ​ស្រឡាញ់​ណាស់ ពួកយើងបានសន្ទនាគ្នាបន្តិច ហើយបានស្តាប់រឿងថាមានប្រជាជនថៃមួយចំនួនសុខចិត្តផ្លាស់ទៅរស់នៅទីជនបទវិញបន្ទាប់ពីរៀនចប់មហាវិទ្យាល័យនៅក្រុងបាងកក ហើយចាប់ផ្តើមបង្កើតអាជីវកម្មផ្ទាល់ខ្លួននៅទីនេះ ដោយរស់នៅតាមជីវភាពកាន់តែសាមញ្ញ និងរីករាយជាងមុន។ ពួកគេមិនត្រឹមតែបម្រើអាហារឆ្ងាញ់ៗដល់យើងប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ ថែមទាំងបានច្រៀង និងដេញហ្គីតាឲ្យយើងស្តាប់កម្សាន្តផងដែរ។ បងប្រុសចុងភៅចូលចិត្តលេងហ្គីតា ប៉ុន្តែប្រពន្ធរបស់គាត់មិនចូលចិត្តសំលេងរំខានដែលគាត់ច្រៀងឡើយ 😀 ដូច្នេះការលេងសម្រាប់ពួកយើងក៏ជាការរីករាយសម្រាប់គាត់ផងដែរ។ ពួកគាត់ទាំងបានឱ្យស្វាយយក្សទម្ងន់ ១,២ គីឡូក្រាមមកយើងទៀតផង។ ពួកយើងគ្មាននរណាម្នាក់​​អាច​ស្មាន​ទម្ងន់​ផ្លែ​ស្វាយ​នោះត្រូវទេ! បទពិសោធន៍នៃការទទួលទានអាហារនេះគឺជាចំណុចពិសេសសម្រាប់ខ្ញុំក្នុងការធ្វើដំណើរដ៏វែងឆ្ងាយពេញមួយថ្ងៃហូតមកដល់ត្រឹមនេះ។

Due to our first taxi from O Smarch/Chong Chom border not showing up at the agreed time at 10am, we wasted 2 hours waiting as we were afraid he might show up if we left with another local taxi. In the end we decided to go with the local taxi to Surin then find other local means to our final destination. Once we got to Surin bus terminal, he was there telling us that he had overslept. He was a friend of one of our travelling members so we just went with him then. By the time we got to Ubon and into the village it was quite late and no restaurants to eat. We stopped at a general store instant noodles and other snacks but luckily after he talked to the owner couple, they made a call to a nearby restaurant to tell them to not close yet and cook for us. They were so lovely! We had a bit of conversation and learned about how many people there like to move back to their life in the village after high education in Bangkok and started their own businesses here and live a more simpler and happier life. They did not only serve us delicious food, but also entertained us with some songs. The chef loves playing guitar but his wife doesn’t like the noise he makes around the house 😀, so playing for us was a treat for him too. They even gave us a giant mango weighing 1.2 kg to take with. None of us could guess the weight of this mango! This dining experience was an extra bonus for me so far throughout the long travel day.
