    Next Chapter

    It is official, the next chapter of my study abroad experience will be written in Vienna, Austria! 🇦🇹
    The second semester of my year abroad will be the compulsory internship and since I already enjoyed collecting some experiences outside of Europe, I thought it would be nice to stay in Europe for my internship.
    This is also really important regarding my career, since I am pretty sure that I would like to stay here in the future. It was always more or less a dream of mine to work in the aviation business. After 3 long months of applying, interviews, tests and phone calls, I managed to get the internship I wanted, without any network or help. I will start working for Austrian Airlines in February and I am excited! I will be working in a small team in the area of Supply Chain Management and Financial Control. Sounds like quiet a challenge for me but as I noticed, this is what I need in life to learn and grow.
    Along with the good news, I also noticed that from here in a year, I will have to write my Thesis. It is insane how time passes by. It seems like just a few month since I moved to the Netherlands and struggled with my first exams. Looking back at these 2,5 years, I can even count the amount of things I learned professional, and personal speaking. I am curious which lessons Vienna has prepared for me! 🛫    Læs mere

    Time Flies

    I can honestly not believe how time flies..
    I just arrived in Vienna on Monday and today I had my first day of work. Looking back at this week, I have the feeling that I’ve been here for ages already. Talking about Vienna, I am super impressed. The city ist beautiful. I would even say it’s prettier than Hamburg, and that says a lot. The architecture is really old and modern at the same time, you can really see that not a lot got destroyed during world war 1 and 2. After checking out the city and walking around a lot, I noticed that I developed a feeling of comfort. Lately I had the general impression that, it doesn’t really matter where, it is easy for me to feel comfortable in a new place. Maybe I’m just getting used to the constant moving or the places I’m choosing are super inviting. Anyways, I’m curios how the next week will be, especially regarding work. Cheers, Justine :)Læs mere

    Bratislava

    Today I went on my first trip from Vienna. We went to Bratislava to spend the sunny day in another city, which was quiet nice. The Bus was only 1:30h and we had plenty of time to explore the small but really pretty city. There was a ton of tiny cute cafes and restaurants with really good food! Definitely worth a visit but not longer than a day ☺️Læs mere

    Zagreb

    Yesterday we started our little Easter Weekend Roadtrip to Croatia. We drove from Vienna to Zagreb and after a lot of traffic we arrived at our Apartment. This morning the weather was perfectly fine and the people seem really chilled. After a short breakfast we decided to drive to the Ocean today and stay for a night and use the short Monday to go back to Zagreb and explore the City.

    Today we went to the beach and I did not know that Croatia has such a pretty sea! The water was green/ blue and super clear. We chose Senj because it is a really small town and not many tourist were there. It was super cheap and we had an apartment right at the beach with ocean view. ⛰🌊Læs mere

    Plitvicer Lakes

    Time for a hike!
    I was soo ready to have a good hike again after all this city air. We drove to the national park Plitvicer Lakes, which is definitely a must see in Croatia. You could chose from different hiking paths and we chose the longest. It was really beautiful and the park offered an amazing view deep in the nature. Unfortunately there were some tracks where the hiking paths crossed and on these crossing there were too many annoying people taking pictures with their iPads and ruining the harmony of nature. After walking for a while we had a chilled lunch on top of the mountains with the perfect view. All in all, a great day!Læs mere

    Hannover

    During this Trip I enjoyed a long weekend in Germany. I visited my friends and we celebrated that we know each other for over 9 years now. ☺️
    We visited a brewery and went shopping in Hannover.
    It was also the first flight I took after starting my job in the airline business. It was amazing to see how all functions and actions at the airport work, especially on the ramp. In this case it was like watching a good Movie for me 😃    Læs mere

    Copenhagen Reunion

    The last few day I spent in Copenhagen with the people I got to know and lived with in Mexico. It was the first time after 6 months that we saw each other and it seemed like we never separated. I had the greatest time with those generous people and I even decided to stay longer than planned. The city is super nice and pretty but also really expensive. I spent a lot of money but in the end it was 100% worth it. The trip gave me such a high value. In the end it was more about the people than the city of course but I can tell for sure now that the connection to my friends I met during my study abroad is a really special one that I do not want to miss anymore.Læs mere

    Back in Austria, we rented an amazing house on top of the mountains. There was literally nothing. To make it down to the tale you had to drive 25 Minutes by car. I haven’t tasted such fresh air in a while - definitely a place to escape city life for a while.Læs mere
