Rest day = best day ❤️

After nearly freezing to death in Sa Pa, we took the bus to Ha Giang (what a hell of a ride, 8 hours instead of 5:30, they took many detours to load and unload goods) and decided to have a rest day to dry our stuff and to recover and warm up.

Benni caught a cold so we didn't plan anything for the day. We were super lucky with our homestay. Our host Lan was warm, welcoming and fun, what a sweet lady! 😍 She took us on a trip with her dad and her sister. We drove to a nearby village and had a picnic on the stones in the middle of the river, in front of a beautiful waterfall. Some Vietnamese guys were bathing in the river (see video 😅).

Lan and her family were super friendly and so much fun. Her dad was a really cool guy who seemed to enjoy the trip a lot. In the evening, they invited us to share burgers with them. And everything was for free 😶. They were such a nice family. In the end, rest day was the best day! 😃Read more
