Bike hike?

While a low mileage day, more than 3000 ft of elevation awaited us. Though we started out on the busy road, we quickly decided to venture off and stick with the cycle path although it would add more elevation and a few more miles. The sign noting an average of 19% grade almost had me taking my chances with the semis. Yet we climbed up the side of The Valley and were treated with lovely views. Again opted to stick with the cycle route though it would turn to ‘natural surfaces’. What we didn’t know was it would turn to a hiking trail through a gorge. Tough going. Made it through, continued up the valley and made it to Oberwald. Small little town. Rain, hail and lightening!Leggi altro
