One last windy climb and it’s time to head north. See very little of Cartagena and hop on a long and slow train to Sevilla. Late evening arrival but meander a l bit into the city. A seeminglyLes mer
Early morning train - first of three Manage each boarding and disembarking relatively well. Affine in Girona with plenty of time to see the sights. An evening stroll for dessert found us wanderingLes mer
Early morning stroll to find pastries unique to Girona. Back up from our university dorm hostel and head out amongst many cyclists out for their Sunday ride (Girona is a big cyclist town). LovelyLes mer
More nice roads to get to Figueres to see Dali’s ‘theater and museum’. A repeat for me but new to Doug. Get ourselves out of there rather late and the day had heated up. More country roadsLes mer
Hilly start as we wound our way up the coast. Each little town by the sea was accompanied by an up. Lovely views and strong wind. Great roads and paths with clear signs helped us keep on route.Les mer
Today we had it all. Tail wind and head wind. Wonderful bike paths along the plage (beach) and gnarly rocky roads. We started the day with cafe au lait and chocolate croissant and ended with a dryLes mer
Flat land and water all around us. What more could you ask For Two swims in the Med. It’s heating up and the winds continue. We do find the start of our next EuroVelo route. Vía Rhona (17).
A few more beach towns and a last swim (it’s gotten colder for some reason) and we turn north along our 3rd EuroVelo route - Via Rhona (17). Good signs make for much easier navigation - a welcomeLes mer
With hot weather upon us an early start is our our best bet. Power up with coffee and pastries and we ride through the countryside following our little signs. Every type of fruit imaginable is growingLes mer
