Walking to find windmills

It was gray and forecast rain today so went on a bus route to Emborio. The first bus didn't arrive and the second was 10mins late and very full standing room only. Fortunately a passenger told us when to get off! We enjoyed exploring the old town which has been left in its original state with no access for cars. A great place for hide and seek! Great views from the top near the old windmills that are slowly been restored. Here we ate our fresh baked bread sandwiches which were delicious.
As we did not enjoy the bus ride we decided to walk back to Perissa. Only 50mins but it was along the busy road with no pavements! Thanks to Google maps eventually find a cut through so we could walk along the beach. 12km later we definately earned our cocktailsRead more
