Yes, finally the D-Day had come!!! I remember I woke up very early as I had a 5.37am train to catch. Luckily, I stayed very near to the train station, as far as I could remember, 5 - 10 minutes walking distance.

From Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu, trains are the only way. I arrived in Machu Picchu at around 7am and took a tour bus going up the hill. I couldn't remember how long was the bus ride, it was smooth not bumpy. However, I do remember the road was very narrow. I even remember there was a girl in front of me, took a peek by pulling the bus window curtain and said excitedly, yes excitedly, to her mom, "The bus was so close to the cliff!" 😅

Anyway, as soon as I got off the bus, the VIEW was blowing off my mind 😱TOTALLY LOVED IT!!🤩 What showed in my photos were way underrated!! 😉

NOTE: Machu Picchu was a symbol of the Incan Empire. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 and was named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007.

Picture 1: The angle where most tourists would take a photo 😂

Picture 2: Interior of an Inca building, featuring trapezoidal windows.

Picture 3: Yes, I was standing on the mountain ledge!! Looking back, I think I was very stupid to listen to the tour guide. Yes, the tour guide asked us to stand on the ledge for a photograph. Really, it was quite dangerous. What's behind me was a valley that was at least 2000 meter in elevation, about a 600-storey skyscraper (I think) 😬

Pictutre 4: Llama, cute eh 🤩
