Along the beach

Having woken early, I took the opportunity to make an early start after breakfast and, because it was only three miles along the beach, arrived in Bamburgh before 10am. I will visit the castle and find some of the links with St Oswald, but more of that later.
The easiest way to walk was along the beach; the dunes being lots of narrow paths of soft sand, through high grasses, uphill and down-dale! A calming walk, which I enjoyed very much.Read more
