Woomera

Heading towards Coober Pedy, we passed through Woomera. A strange town - felt almost deserted, yet clean and tidy. Reminded me a bit of an army base from the 1950s and this is understandable because it has always been a defence owned facility. Only opened to the public since 1982, it now displays some of the rockets etc that were tested at Woomera.
