Woomera

Heading towards Coober Pedy, we passed through Woomera. A strange town - felt almost deserted, yet clean and tidy. Reminded me a bit of an army base from the 1950s and this is understandable because it has always been a defence owned facility. Only opened to the public since 1982, it now displays some of the rockets etc that were tested at Woomera. We checked out the rocket park and the museum before continuing on to and overnight stay at Glendambo. Czytaj więcej
