• Cuong Hoan Silk

After Dragon told us we had an hour's ride to the next stop we suddenly turned into the Cuong Hoan Silk Factory less than a minute from lunch.
Here they use cocoons from the silk worm to make silk which is then shipped away to buy coloured and made into works of art.
The process is amazing with machinery doing a lot of the work these days.
We even tried pupae which is commonly eaten when drinking beer or wine at the end of the day. They tasted kinda nutty to me, best not to think about it too much. Sam seemed to love them and kept going back for more!
We couldn't leave without buying something so Sam got a tie and me some sick pants. First souvenirs of the trip.
