Pictou, Nova Scotia

Left Lunenburg and headed for Peggy's Cove.

The Swisair Memorial Site commemorates the 229 people who lost their lives on September 2, 1998 in the crash of Swissair Flight 111 into the Atlantic Ocean southwest of Halifax at the entrance to St. Margaret’s Bay, Peggy's Cove. Very solemn.

The lighthouse was a different story! Super crowded and hectic. But at least I got a picture!

Things went south in Halifax...street lights were out, downtown construction, parking was non existent, blah, blah, blah! Needless to say, we drove on through. Boo! Wanted to see the Maritime Museums, Alexander Keith's Brewery, etc. Oh welll, another time.

Anyway, ended up in Pictou with a great campsite. Cooked seared scallops...Garry didn't like them so I shared them with a fellow who was bicycling across the Maritimes for Diabetes who was eating a bowlinabag and was super grateful. Later, enjoyed some bag piped music from one of the neighbors. I told Garry to get out his banjo!
