    Twillingate

    July 15, 2023 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 19 °C

Had coffee and headed to Twillingate, which is known as the Iceberg Capital of the World, as it is one of the best locations in Newfoundland for admiring icebergs.

Picked out a boondocking spot with a fantastic view of Sleepy Cove and, yes, icebergs! We hiked Nanny's Hole and the Long Point Lighthouse trails. Got back in time to watch one of the icebergs in the cove implode into itself! Incredible! Broke off a chunk of ice from a "bergy bit" and, while enjoying a cocktail and got to watch another iceberg implode...so cool!

Spending the rest of the day relaxing in the sunshine which we have not seen, we left the Cabot Trail.
