• Fortress museums

    There were two fortress museums that we explored. The first was dedicated to marionettes. I know...it's kind of a bizarre museum to find in a fortress. Apparently, this part of Austria is known for these stringed puppets, and they display some very famous ones. I, personally, find them a bit creepy.
    The next museum made more sense as it delved into the history of the castle and various wars that it had endured. It began with information from the early years (1055) and went all the way to WorldWars I and II. It was fascinating to see all the history this fortress experienced.
