Laundry visit

One of the must do things in Mumbai is to visit the ghats.

Located in the slums all the laundry for all the hotels gets done in the slums. Our visit was later in the day so it possibly wasn't as spectacular as it would have been earlier but seeing all the towels hung out is quite impressive. What was even more impressive is that what we saw was all of the laundry being done by hand, would be back breaking!

Our guide was a young boy who met us at the drop off spot and he led us through the area and up the narrow stairs to get to the best vantage point. Truly remarkable how the right laundry gets back to the right people, it is an incredibly massive operation. The man told Mum that they tag every piece of laundry so they can track it.
