Gildersome Prepares for the Jubilee

The village is getting decked out: hanging British flags along the main throughfare and the Green, and planting lots of flowers. The school children have made posters about Queen Elizabeth II, which are on display at the Co-op. They seem very interested in her service during WWII.

The celebration will be on Sunday, with games for the children, food, and music. We're looking forward to the community celebration!Weiterlesen
