    The Chancel at the Front of the Church

    On the Chancel side of the wooden rood screen are the choir and huge organ.

    Next you can see the high altar, the work of a woodcarver from Oberammergau, Germany. To the right of the altar are the carved filigree stone seats for the clergy.

    Behind the high altar is the stained glass masterpiece, "Jesse Window", showing the family tree of the kings of Israel from Jesse, father of King David, to Joseph.    Read more
