• Flamborough Headland--A Seabird Haven

    After a few days of rest, my voice came back, although I now have bronchitis. But lying around is getting boring, so we went out for the afternoon.

    Flamborough Head is a projection of pure white chalk cliffs on the coast of Yorkshire, overlooking the North Sea. Many seabirds make their nests on the cliffs, including puffins, guillemots, razorbills, and kittiwakes.

    There are two lighthouses. The older, built in 1669, is the oldest complete lighthouse in England. The newer one was built in 1806 and is still working.
