United Kingdom's National Parks

What are the North Moors? What are the Yorkshire Dales?, What are The Peaks? These are some questions we are finding the answers to as we explore some of the national parks in the UK. The National Park system didn't get started here until the 1950s. There are now 15 of them and they are free to enter! "Naturally" they exist to protect unique areas and the biodiversity within them, but people do live and work on the farms and in the villages.
