    Chesterfield Honors Queen Elizabeth II

    September 9, 2022 in England ⋅ ☁️ 64 °F

An outpouring of love for Queen Elizabeth II is happening now, and will continue for some time. We went to Chesterfield to see the church with a crooked spire. The Queen's picture was on the altar in the church's Chapel of St. Peter, along with a book where people could write prayers and tributes to her.

After exploring the church, we went to Queen's Park for a picnic, and saw flowers in her memory at the bandshell.

There will be many memories of her. One quote I just read shows her humor. She was short, only 5' 3", and she was known for her bright colors. She said, "I have to be seen to be believed!"
