    First Day: Innsbruck, Exeter, Dartmoor

    November 9, 2022 in Austria ⋅ ☁️ 2 °C

The first day of our England journey
    09.11.2022 By Hannah and Angelina

    Hello dear readers!

This is our Blog about the first day of our adventure to England. In this Blog we are going to tell you what we experienced and about the things we saw.

In the morning after our parents brought us to the airport, we first checked in and after that waited for a bit before we got into the plane to Frankfurt. While we were in the plane we saw the Alps from above and a beautiful sunset. (We took a few pictures that you can see on this website 🌄👀.) When we arrived in Frankfurt, we went with the bus to the main building, went trough, got in another bus and drove to our plane to Bristol. After we arrived we first got our suitcases and after that got picked up by our supervisors Joe and Kim. With the bus we went to Exeter, which is called Exeter because it lays on the river Exet and visited the Exeter cathedral. Soon after the guide we bought lunch and drove to Moorland Hall. Then we got our suitcases, everyone moved into their rooms and unpacked their stuff. In the evening we ate dinner and went for a walk in the the dark with the beautiful full moon.

Everyone was pretty tired after that and so we went to sleep😴 .

Thank your for reading our Blog and we hope you have a nice day,

    Your students from class 3E

Day 2: Dartmoor Walking Tour and English

    November 10, 2022 in England ⋅ ☁️ 13 °C

Hello everyone, today I am going to tell you all about that we are doing.

This morning we woke up and we had enough time to get ready for breakfast. My friends and I had to lay the table. Before going to breakfast Joe told use about what we are going to be doing:

The plan was for group A to have English lessons and group B go to Dartmoor. The lessons were fun and we played lots of games.

Afterwards we visited Dartmoor national park. We stayed there for about three hours. The landscape was beautiful. It was a bit cloudy but all good. We also saw the army train in the hills. There was one hole where you sink about three meters. On the way back we visited a bridge. It was built over 4000 years ago. By Leonie & Jonas!

    *Coastwalk and Fish & Chips*

Today we first went to a city called Looe. There we learned everything about the coast rescue team that works there. They have many rescue places. The safety clothes of them are very heavy and really warm. They also have to wear them in the summer because the water is very cold. After it we ate fish and chips. Then we went on a coastwalk in Polperro. We also went shopping there. It is a really nice little village. After that we went back to Moorland Hall.Read more

    November 12, 2022 in England ⋅ ☀️ 14 °C

Hi guys, today we want to tell you about our fourth day in Moorland Hall.

So first of all we went to the small town Tavistock. There we went to a museum to answer questions, wich we got from Joe. After we answered the questions we went to a courtroom and did some roleplaying. It was pretty fun. Then we went to a market wich was next to the museum. There we ate Cornish pastes. They were really tasty. Next we bought some gifts for our parents. We drove home with joes van.

In the afternoon we did some archery, Elias was the best in the five arrow competition with 37 points. We also did some box stacking and Benni and Cingiz set a new record with 16 and a half. Afterwards we had dinner and went to bed.

Day 5 at the North Shore of Cornwall

    November 13, 2022 in England ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

Hi to everyone thats following our blog, today we want to tell you something about our Sunday in England.

In the morning Jo decided to show us a city in the middle of Cornwall. We were sitting in the car for about one hour. After we finally arrived we wanted to try crabbing. It wasn‘t that easy but some of us managed it. The only ones who caught crabs were Angelina, Julia, Leo, Cingiz and Konstantin U. Some of them even caught two!

For lunch we had selfmade, delicious sandwiches and crisps. After that we had time to walk through the beautiful seaside town called Padstow. The thing we liked the most was the lovely stroll along the white sandy Daymer beach where we had a competition about who could build a sandcastle that would survive the waves.

I hope you enjoyed our blog, if you like you can vote the sandcastle which you think was the strongest.
    Bye!

    Day 7: Plymouth

    November 15, 2022 in England ⋅ ☁️ 10 °C

Hi guys and welcome to our blog about the day in Plymouth.(Tuesday).

When we arrived in Plymouth the weather was really nice, but it changed in the afternoon. We went to the aquarium of Plymouth and had a look around. We saw a lot of interesting fish including shark’s. In the end we dissected a squid. It was really disgusting for some people like me. (Leo). Stew, a member of the aquarium, told as a lot of interesting facts about the squid, like they don’t have teeth, or they have eight arms and two tentacles. When we went to the shopping mall it was raining strongly. In the shopping mall we were allowed to split up into groups of three. Everyone had a look around the shopping mall. The drive back to Moorland hall was long, because there was a traffic jam on the way.

I think everyone enjoyed this day. I hope you liked this blog , bye !

PS: The last picture is from our hike last night. And the one before from this morning :)

    Day 8: High Ropes Garden

    November 16, 2022 in England ⋅ 🌧 9 °C

Today we had a thrilling experience:

We split into two groups. The first one had English in the morning and the high rope garden and leap of faith in the afternoon. Group two did rhe leap of faith and high rope in the morning and had English in the afternoon.

Both English classes talked about the day of tolerance. We learned a lot and then we played a role play. Both groups played different role plays.

Then we did high rope. High rope is a parkour in trees with safety equipment. We started with a practice course and then we moved to the big one. It was really funny but it was really wet and slippery. After the high rope we did the leap of faith. By leap of faith you go on a platform in the sky and jump and try to grab a hanging ball. It was a bit scary but also funny. The day was a lot of fun.

    Eden Project

    November 17, 2022 in England ⋅ ⛅ 10 °C

Hello everyone and welcome to our blog about our day out in the Eden Project.

We started off by getting ready and leaving to the Project. It was aproximatly an hour of driving away. When we got there, everybody was trying to hold their exitement. Our guide was called Tom and we made our way to the Core, a building outside the giant biomes where we could leave our bags and jackets.

The first things we did was to visit the Infinity Blue and the Seed, two sculptures in the Core. We then went to the Mediteranean Biome. There were loads of different plants such as cypres, olive trees and even some chillis. We then had lunch at the Core. We had some sandwiches and some crisps with a fruit and a cholocate bar.

Tom then led us through the workshop about plant adaptations. We visited the Rainforest Biome and there were really extraordinary plants. Some had spike and others had waterproof leaves. It was really interesting. Tom told us that it was the biggest indoor Rainforest in the world.

After the end of the workshop and the hour of driving, we returned to Moorland Hall. For dinner we had battered chicken with peas, potatoes and corn. All in all, we had great day. Have you ever been to Eden Project? Bye!!!

We also added some pictures from last night: A contest in which the highest tower built from wood sticks won!
