Brink of the Lower Falls!

After some debate amongst party members, the majority voted for making the 600 ft. descent down the switchbacks to the brink of Lower Falls (of the Yellowstone River - official name). Short hike, but lots of altitude, it was a bit of work on the way down for the ankles and knees, but the way back up didn't feel as bad as it probably should. The view right near the edge was amazing, and to see that much water cascading constantly over the edge took our break away. We also got some great views of the crashing mist and mini waterfalls down in the gorge below, so well-worth the hike!Read more
