    The City of David is located just outside the Old City Walls and southeast of the Dung Gate. It is the original Jerusalem, inhabited by the Jebusites and conquered by King David. The City of David was built over 3,000 years ago when King David left the city of Hevron for a small hilltop city known as Jerusalem. He established it as the unified capital of the tribes of Israel. The City of David is like a historically layered cake. Over the course of one hundred and fifty years of excavation, tens of thousands of archaeological finds have been found in the area of ​​the hill, thousands of years old, among them a seal from the end of the First Temple period.
