The Jewish Quarter

The Jewish Quarter is one of the four traditional quarters of the Old City of Jerusalem.
Some Jews still wear Phylacteries (little leather pouches containing short sections of the Law, bound on the forehead and on the left arm above the elbow because of this verse in Exodus 13:9 "And it shall serve a sign to you on your hand, and on your forehead, that the law of the Lord may be in your mouth; for with a powerful hand the Lord brought you out of Egypt.En savoir plus
