The rain wont stop us!

Today we took the bus from Lerwick to Sumburgh to visit the Sumburgh Head lighthouse and Jarlshof Prehistoric and Norse Village. This was a very VERY wet day, the only waterproof clothing I had on was my boots! We had planned an additional 10 mile walk but that's a tomorrow's trip... The lighthouse although closed was worth the walk as we had a surprise...Puffins! We heard rumours they may land as they have been flying about. They are so adorable. We then walked to Jarlshof and this has been the highlight of the trip, beautifully preserved buildings spanning over 2000 years old.Leggi altro
