• First day, full day!

    March 23 in Poland ⋅ ☀️ 7 °C

Oh wow what a day. We started off with a walk about to find our bearings but ended up ticking most off our list! After spotting the Gdansk city sign we walked along the Nowa Motława river taking in the iconic Zuraw. Then heading to the famous Mariacka Street. The gargoyles are fascinating, adorning most buildings, coming out into the streets. Then walking down the beautiful streets we came across Neptune fountain. Heading to Dobra Paczkarnia so Brandon could get a Kirsch donut and I a tiramisu from Fit Kafe. Fueled we then headed to Glowny station to embark on a journey to Westerplatte. It is famous for the Battle of Westerplatte, which was the first clash between Polish and German forces during the invasion of Poland and thus the beginning and the first battle of World War II. We then travelled to the much spoken about Pierogarnia Mandu restaurant for some gorgeous soup and pierogis. A very fulfilling day out!!Read more
