• Diving with Sharks

    After the nice snorkeling tour yesterday, the sea caught my attention. So, I signed up for two dives today - after an eternity without having done any dives for work and time reasons.
    At 7.30 am I've gotten picked up and after a drive of about 40mins we arrived at Muyuni Beach, where we embarked the boat. The dive equipment and everything was already set for us, so we only needed to dress properly with our dive suits. The boat ride was not too long, until we've gotten the sign to "fall over board". Together with a local Divemaster and one more guest, we've been following a very slight current. The visibility was great and it felt as we're swimming in an aquarium. The highlight however, was for sure a reefshark, which was hiding himself in a little cavern. Nevertheless, as I've been just with a shorty, I was not that sad to go back to the surface after a while 🥶. At the break on the baot, we've been served with some fruits and we enjoyed the sun to get ready for the second dive. As well this one was as spectacular as the first one and we found even a second little shark. What a beautiful day!

    When I came back to Nungwi, it was cloudy, so I took a walk along the shops (yes, I found a new strategy: looking very serious and straight ahead 😒🤣 spoiler: it helped). The paintings indeed looked very beautiful, but I resisted and remembered myself, that the walls at home are already full!).

    Later on, I had a feeling that the sunset today was not as beautiful as on the days before due to the clouds. Nevertheless, I walked around the beach and was convinced from the opposite: The only regret I had, was not having brought my camera! The perfection is in the imperfection...
