For my last day on Zanzibar, I did a tour to the surroundings of Stone Town. Firstly, we went to a Spice Farm, where our guide showed us a huge range of spices and fruits from it's roots, the place where they grow. I can't remember all of them, but just to have an idea, what we got to see: Tumeric, ginger, claws, cinnamon, vanilla, lemongrass, cardamom, pepper, coffee fruit, durian, pineapple, mango, banana, ... And of course different things, which I cannot even remember their names 🤣 after a lunch there, we've been driving back to Stone Town, where we changed vehicles to a boat. The next point on the program was the so-called Prison Island, which is famous today for it's gigantic tortoises. Having met those giants, we returned with the boat to Stone Town, where our guide showed us some hidden corners of the Old Town. What a nice ending of my stay in Zanzibar!Read more
