The BA first class lounge deserves its own little trip report, it's a lovely place with free flowing champagne regardless of what time of day. It's my sort of place, and I say that as it's not everyone's cup of tea. The food is also nice - just finished a little BA burger that came with 6 yes I counted them, 6 chips.
Anyway to get into this place - for a couple of years, I sort of think of it as a membership, I had to take a shed load of flights which included 24 hrs in Hawaii. All for about a grand£. Considering that I'm bumped to the champagne on request business lounge in the third year, the £333 isn't a bad deal. I use it about once a month and it avoids all that nonsense of arriving early and wondering what to do.Read more
